ATARI has two games slated to be Xbox 360 exclusives in the upcoming year, Race Pro and Smash Court Tennis 3, and here’s the skinny.
Race Pro is an ultra-realistic racing sim developed by SimBin, known for many as a PC racing game. Players will feel every bend and burst of acceleration as well as every emotion, from pre-race tension in the pit lanes to exhilaration on the podium. Race Pro also offers a new system called “Hot Seat” that is bound to change how multiplayer racing is perceived. Here, instead of having split-screen racing, the players will pass the controller around in a hot-potato manner, each getting a turn at the wheel, and all having to do well in order to win. Race Pro also features over 15 real life tracks and tons of realistic car models. It is slated for release in November.
Meanwhile, Smash Court Tennis 3 is being developed by Namco/Bandai, and it features the biggest names in tennis including Roger Federer and Maria Sharapova. Featuring Xbox Live online play and a new Pro Tour Mode, Smash Court Tennis 3 promises to be the best one yet. The game will feature four other modes: Arcade, Tutorial, Exhibition and Mini-Games, so even if you don’t want to go through the game’s campaign, there is still plenty to do. Smash Court Tennis 3 is slated for release in August. |
